Black Jez is the voice of the team. Full of energy,comedy, and the streets, Black is the backbone of the team. Being a free spirit, Black follows his heart and has always been his own person. As a founding member of the A-Team, Black has recorded 2 solo albums, and over 150 other songs to be released. When Black started rapping at age 15, he focused mostly on developing his hooks. Over time he developed a penchant for lyrical wordplay and carefully developed his art form as he taught himself how to write complete songs. When in the studio now, Black works at an incredible pace while writing music. Many nights Black has slept in the studio simply because he says, ” my body would not allow me to leave“. One of his goals is to make sure that he covers all aspects of street life and life in general in his music. Focused on the streets and his hardships, Black incorporates all genres of rap music and music in general into his art. He blends the perfect mix of lyrics, insight and crunkness. Never succumbing to one formula Black has the personality and talent to be a major success in music. Black has always been one of those individuals who draw others to him with his outgoing personality. After going thru some difficult times in 2006, in 2007 Black aims to regain his position and reestablish himself. Black is sitting on volumes of music and reworking much of his material for 2 releases in 2007.
