Dodge began his musical career like most watching, observing, enjoying and learning. He brought his interest and hobby to the forefront in the summer of 1996 by freestyling. Still early in his craft he freestyled songs and rewrote the freestyles as verses. Overtime his hobby turned into a passion and he started to take his craft seriously. After and few recorded freestyles and battles, Dodge linked up with Matt Thomas and begin to furiously hone his skills as a songwriter. He recorded his first song in 1999 over Tash’s Rap Life entitled, ”I Ain’t Sh*t for Matt’s album My Life. Although this first musical effort was for fun, Dodge realized his potential to create music. From that point he continued to work recording over 2 more cds of music, one with former rap partner Spit Kicker and a unreleased solo. In 2001 still in college Dodge talent grew exponentially, finally having the time to concentrate on himself as a person, and student, Dodge begin to understand the type of artist that he wanted to be and what type of music he wanted to give to the public. Once again he rededicated himself to his music. In 2001 Dodge took his newfound passion for music and turned it into a business launching Skyline Entertainment now S.K.Y Entertainment. From 2001 to 2003 S.K.Y Dodge continued to write music but also shifted his focus to building a solid foundation for his recording company. All of the hard work paid off, in 2003 S.K.Y Entertainment featured in a showcase with, Lupe Fiasco, Boolumaster, Malik Yusef, JUice, Cap 1, as well as other Midwest acts. Acting as a artist and CEO, Dodge featured on 3 mixtapes that were released thru 2006 and completed his first solo project The People’s Choice. Dodge also stepped in the production and music engineering aspects, dedicating himself the same way he did with writing. Now in 2007 with with a keener business sense, financial backing, and a dynamic artist roster Dodge looks to move forward working harder then ever to ensure the musical success of S.K.Y Entertainment as well as himself.
