RESA E.
BIO
The Empress Resa E. comes from one of Chicago’s epidemics (neighborhoods) and was raised on the lower south side of town at 35th and Lake Park. Her struggles in her community and her personal life as a youth gave much ground for her earlier writing. At age 9 with countless short stories and poetry the world was very new, but by 18 she was ready to speak. After watching friends for many years pass times in a cipher (battling), she became interested with the art of spoken words. At 20 she exposed her spoken word form with the poem, I’ve seen, that sheds light on many barriers that keep people from maintaining their goals. With a positive dark-twisted fate, I’ve seen is a message for a people of struggling expectations. Whose opportunities, seems to be far-reach and never lasting, but right in their own reality. Since the poem I’ve Seen Resa E. has continually crafted herself to become a major asset to S.K.Y Entertainment and the Chicago hip hop community. Finally realizing her potential and finding herself as an artist she is poised to take major strides in getting her music to the world. In addition to working on a book of poems, Resa E. models as well as works with CPS school system in youth programs. Pay attention and stay tuned.
